February Women's Build Up at the Bridge
Our first women's build-up met Wednesday, February 6. We met at Nick
and Becky's new place (Nick conveniently left for the evening). The
yucky weather kept many away, but seven women were able to face the
snow! Those that could make it were Diana, Becky, Laura, Jen, Nancy,
Andrea, and Tiffany. We talked about our reactions to life's
circumstances or events. Diana picked 5 ways that we should respond to
the situations we face. We should respond in love, with trust in God,
in obedience, in prayer, and hmmm -- can't remember the other one (guess I'll need to ask Diana!). After our discussion, we broke
up in to groups to share and pray for one another. We ended our night
with too many snacks and a game that went along with our discussion.
The game was very similar to charades, however, we had to write down an
event in life without knowing that we would soon be acting them out.
Some of them were quite humourous. It was definitely a "girls" night!
We will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of every month
(meeting place will vary). So our next meeting will be on March 5 from
