Now is a great time to become a member of The Bridge
The Christian life involves more than just believing; it also includes belongingMembership says: "I BELONG HERE"

Today, many people find they believe IN God but have little sense of belonging TO God.
In the Bible, becoming a "member” of the church did not refer to some cold induction into a religious institution but rather it meant becoming a vital organ of a living body. (Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians. 6:15; 12:12-27).
By becoming a member of The Bridge a person’s life is enriched. It is a privilege to belong to a body of other believers and in membership we also accepting the responsibility to care for the needs of others in the body. As a person begins to realize the benefits of being part of a church body, then you begin to experience how God works through your life to become a blessing to others.
At The Bridge, we’ve found that when people understand the meaning and value membership, they get excited about it.
the church is:
“... the family of God. That family is the church of the living God, the support and foundation of the truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15 (LB)
Membership is about MATURITY...
Membership is about us growing up and maturing as a church. It means we know who we are as a church, what we are about and what is important to us. It also means are willing to take responsibility for ourselves and stand on our own in our community.
Membership is about us maturing as individual disciples. Becoming a member means I am willing to commit myself to other followers of Jesus. When we are willing to put the needs and interests of others ahead of myself, then we will naturally want to be with them. It is saying “I want to help others in this church succeed in walking with Jesus and they are going to help me succeed too”. “I am going to use the spiritual gifts that God has given me to bless and care for these people.”
Membership is about PRIVILEGE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Belonging to a church is a privilege; it is not just for any and every one, but for followers of Jesus. It is a good and blessed privilege that spiritually impacts and ministers to our lives. God works in and through a church like no other organization because it is in the unity of the members that God demonstrates the strength of His love.
Belonging to The Bridge is also a privilege, it is not for all followers of Jesus, but for those the Holy Spirit draws and assembles for this particular body, at this particular time. The Bridge is not the only place God is working in our community, but it is one and it is a good one. To be part of The Bridge is to be part of what God is doing in and through The Bridge. The Bridge is a unique church, rich with extraordinary people from many different cultures that He is using make Himself known.
With this privilege also comes responsibility. We have the responsibility to care for one another and the church body as a whole. We help one another grow spiritually and encourage each other to be the best representative of God’s image that each of us were created to bear. We have the responsibility to worship together and that is why God gives us each spiritual gifts to use in ministry to each other. We also have a responsibility to present Jesus – alive, active and powerful to the community and world around us.
Membership is about our FUTURE
Going through this membership process now is not only about us, but it is also laying the path for many more to follow in the future. This process is also for the ones who will become part of us six months, two years, and ten years down the road. It is a way to say “This is who we are and what we are about as followers of Jesus here at The Bridge, and perhaps God is bringing you to be part of us”.
Membership is one step in discipleship process by saying “I am personally connected to this body of other followers of Jesus”. It is one way of ‘knitting our lives together’ and becoming a community where each member is known, valued and ministering to others.
