The Bridge Church exists to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God.
The priority of discipleship
We are committed to working out what it means to follow Jesus in every area of life. From our thoughts and affections to the way we steward our time and our money; from our marriages and our parenting to our vocations and our friendships, we want to live in a manner that honours the Lord (Colossians 1:10). We believe that faith without fruit is dead (James 2:26) and that real faith cannot help but produce discernible change in our lives over time (John 15:5; Galatians 5:22-23).
The process of discipleship
We seek to make, mature, and multiply disciples through a process that combines close relationships, faithful habits, personal faith, and the life application of biblical truth. This is not a technique or a once-size-fits-all program. There are no short cuts on the way to Christian maturity. Rather, like learning to play an instrument in an orchestra, the discipleship process requires serious commitment. Through humility, prayer, accountability, and perseverance, we trust that “the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, will equip us with everything good to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21).
How do I join?
Discipleship groups meet over a period of eight months throughout the year. During this time, new people may join a group in early October or early March. To learn more about discipleship, email info at bridgechurch.ca or call 604-327-4330.
