Bridge Kids

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

What is Bridge Kids?
Bridge Church is a vibrant congregation filled with many young families. In fact, one third of our community are children! We believe time during church services for kids should be a fun, and engaging time for children.  Bridge Kids exists to help children grow in their Christian faith and relationship with Jesus Christ through Sunday programming, Home Group engagement, and equipping families for faith at home.
What is Bridge Kids like on a Sunday?
Check In: Please see one of our amazing volunteers to check your kids in at the beginning of the service. We will need some basic information so they can get a name tag. The name tag will have their information as well as a security code. You will also get a paper with the security code. You will need to present that paper (original or picture on your phone) when you pick your child up at the end of the service. Please check in every time you come the Bridge Church Sunday Service.

Safety and Protection: All volunteers are trained and screened according to our Plan to Protect® policies. Plan to Protect is a system that trains volunteers and staff for best practices to keep children and youth safe. All volunteers have submitted clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks to the ministry lead and been trained in abuse prevention policies and protocol.
Programming: Please drop your kids off to the Bridge Kids room at the beginning of the service. We keep all the kids (age 4 and up) together for a time of large group teaching filled with times of free play, energetic kids music, bible stories, centers and crafts.

Nursery: Children 3 and under can be dropped with our nursery volunteers. We encourage parents to ensure their child has used the bathroom or arrive with a clean diaper. Volunteers will not be changing diapers and you will be contacted for any diapering needs.

Notifications during Service: Please ensure that your cell phone number is updated within our check in system. We will text parents if you are needed in the nursery during the service; please ensure that your phone is on vibrate and that you can see it throughout the service. Using cell phone texts will minimize the disruption during the service.

Curriculum: The Gospel Project provides theological yet practical, age-appropriate Bible studies that immerses your entire church in the story of the Gospel, helping to develop a Gospel culture that leads to Gospel-mission.

Please contact Hilary, the Director of Childrens Ministry, at hilary@bridgechurch.ca for more information or if you would like to volunteer with the Bridge Kids Ministry. You can also connect with Hilary or one of the other volunteers on a Sunday if you have any questions!
