Bridge Daily Update! #2

Jan 11, 2022

As the old song goes: “Here I am once again”. It’s Gavin with another Bridge Daily update:

In my last letter/update/infomercial/post/whateveryouwannacallit I mentioned that there were some super exciting things in the works for Bridge Daily, and I wasn’t joking.

As you know, you’ve downloaded our “Bridge Connected” app. From it’s inception, the purpose of this app was to help create an online community. Or what some would call an “online campus”.

Well, for any church to be called a church it requires a couple things:

Scripture
The sacraments (Lords Supper and Baptism)
Community

In the last couple years this pandemic has displayed the need to evaluate what community is. And with Bridge connected, we wanted to pursue community in an online campus.

What role does Bridge daily play?

Originally, we started Bridge daily as a quick five-minute scripture reading, application, and prayer (sometimes we went a little longer than that). But what Bridge Daily never did before, was connect people. And that is what is going to change.

The structure of Bridge daily will not only bring scripture and application, but will come with a challenge. This challenge won’t be like the ice bucket challenge, but more of a “discussion” challenge. Where Bridge Daily will give you a conversation starter for yourself and anyone else watching with you!

Once again, we cherish your prayers as we go forward into creating online community and bringing devotional community to a reality.

“He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross”

~Colossians 1:18-21
